Our StoryOur Story
Our History

From a 1987 start to nationwide manufacturing and distribution

Warm Brothers Inc. has served customers across North America since 2000. Built on radiant-heating experience dating to 1987, WBI has continued to develop practical radiant-panel solutions while expanding its manufacturing and distribution capabilities from Oregon to Wisconsin.

The years before WBI
  • 1987

Morgan Muir enters the radiant-heating industry

Morgan Muir begins working in the hydronic-heating industry, establishing the technical experience that would later help shape Warm Brothers Inc. He goes on to build a hydronic-heating and solar manufacturers’ representative firm in Northern California.

  • Early 1990s

Hoyt Corbett builds a national radiant-heating brand

Hoyt Corbett develops a national radiant-floor-heating brand that is later acquired by Uponor. He also authors technical manuals for major hydronic manufacturers and founds and publishes The Radiant Flooring Guide.

  • 1998

    Early panel technology takes shape

Development begins on a nonstructural radiant panel featuring an undercut groove designed to securely hold PEX tubing during installation. This innovation becomes an important foundation for WBI’s early panel systems.

Founding and product innovation
  • 2000
    Milestone

    Warm Brothers Inc. is founded

Warm Brothers Inc. is established to bring practical, high-performance radiant-panel systems to the North American market. The company has served residential and light-commercial customers under the WBI name ever since.

  • 2003
    Product innovation

    WBI’s thermal panel technology advances

WBI reaches an important product-development milestone with its nonstructural thermal heating board. The design securely holds hydronic tubing while providing a practical, low-profile radiant-floor-heating solution.

  • 2004
    Product innovation

    Development expands into cementitious panels

WBI develops a modular cementitious thermal panel designed to integrate hydronic tubing into conventional construction without requiring the radiant system to be poured in place.

Building the business
  • 2007
    Manufacturing

    Manufacturing begins in Oregon

WBI establishes its original manufacturing presence in Tualatin, Oregon. This provides a dependable production base for serving customers throughout the western United States and across North America.

  • 2000s

Teaching and helping shape the radiant-heating industry

Hoyt Corbett serves as Associate Director of the Radiant Panel Association, while Morgan Muir serves on its Board of Directors. Muir also teaches more than 250 classes covering radiant heating, heat sources and hydronic controls.

  • More than 20 years

    Millions of square feet supplied

Over more than two decades, WBI produces and supplies millions of square feet of radiant panels for residential and light-commercial projects across North America.

Product development
  • Multiple product lines, one experienced company

WBI brings together a range of radiant-heating solutions developed for different construction methods and project requirements.

Ecowarm® RadiantBoard provides a structural wood-panel solution designed for 1/2-inch PEX tubing at 12-inch spacing.

ThermalBoard™ offers a lower-profile system designed for 3/8-inch PEX tubing at 8-inch spacing.

EPS-backed RadiantBoard and ThermalBoard panels combine radiant-panel performance with added insulation for applications over concrete and other surfaces where downward heat loss must be reduced.

InsulHeat provides an insulated panel solution for hydronic radiant-heating systems installed within concrete slabs.

Recent growth
  • 2023
    Continued innovation

Development begins on foam hydronic boards

Morgan Muir and Hoyt Corbett begin developing foam-substrate hydronic board technology, continuing WBI’s focus on making radiant systems more efficient, accessible and adaptable to different construction applications.

  • 2025
    Expansion

    WBI expands to Wisconsin

WBI adds a 25,000-square-foot distribution center in Wisconsin, improving product availability and reducing freight costs and delivery times for customers throughout the Midwest and East Coast.

Manufacturing capabilities are added shortly afterward, giving WBI two manufacturing locations and a stronger nationwide production and distribution network.

“We are excited to open our second distribution center, which will make our products more accessible to customers across the Midwest and East Coast.”Morgan MuirMorgan Muir
