Each project receives a board layout for accuracy and ease of installation. We also offer optionally complete mechanical design services.
Design Services
We offer both a CAD panel layout service and a complete system design service. Virtually all projects select our panel layout service with some choosing a full turnkey system mechanical design and specification.
Panel Layout Service
Our CAD layout service includes the location of radiant boards, tubing, and manifold locations. It is highly recommended to ease installation, saving hours of labor for inexperienced installers. To start the layout process, you must complete our Project Questionnaire so we can understand the project more completely.
The layout will include:
- Plan view of tubing and board layout.
- Straight and Combo board count
- Manifold location or locations in consultation with you and taking into account your plan.

For an overall view of this process visit HOW TO BUY. You will be provided with a quote for the layout and a contract for doing the layout from our layout service. We can use .dwg CAD files or a pdf format file. Our plan service will call you to discuss manifold locations, zoning, and orientation of hardwood floors. Complete Radiant Heat Mechanical Design Service
Our complete system design service includes CAD radiant board, tubing, and manifold locations plus room by room heat loss calculations, heat source selection, pump selections, control selection and wiring diagram, product specification, and complete system schematic. The design will be completed by Monterey Energy Group who has designed over 400 radiant systems per year for the past 22 years. Monterey Energy Group.
