Installing WBI Radiant Panels
The owners of WBI come from the world of radiant floor heating as a radiant heat engineer, a radiant heat contractor and manufacturer and a radiant heat distributor. Two of them are former board members of the original Radiant Panel Association. We are fully aware of the range of issues attached to the design and installation of radiant mechanical systems and recognize that our radiant panels are just one part of an overall system.
Both radiant heating mechanical and general contractors purchase our radiant panels. As both types of contractors can install our panels, which contractor purchases our products is a matter of the contract negotiations between the radiant mechanical contractor and the general contractor. The purchasing conclusion varies according to the skills and needs of both parties.
In support of Radiant Mechanical Contractors
We are of the opinion that builders and owner-builders should rely on local experienced mechanical contractors for supply, installation, and servicing of the mechanical portion of the radiant system that comprises the heat source, the controls, pumps, piping, etc. While clients and builders can be attracted to the idea of one one-stop “appliance” mechanical solution of online vendors, experience says that having a local radiant contractor familiar with trusted mechanical brands and able and willing to install and to SERVICE the system on short notice is very valuable. We do not compete with radiant mechanical contractors by selling mechanical systems directly to general contractors as some of our competitors do. We do refer certain clients in very remote locations to trusted mechanical package suppliers if radiant mechanical contractors are not present.
