Thermalboard can be efficiently installed over insulated wood subfloors, making it ideal for new constructions and remodels alike. This method provides enhanced thermal insulation while ensuring quick heat response and energy efficiency.
When used with EPS foam, Thermal board becomes an excellent solution for radiant floor heating over concrete slabs. The EPS layer acts as a thermal break and moisture barrier, improving comfort and system performance in basements, garages, and ground floors.
For projects that require increased insulation or thermal efficiency, Thermal board can be installed over EPS panels placed atop traditional subfloors. This application ensures a low-profile, high-efficiency system perfect for residential upgrades or retrofits.

Our current Thermalboard™ is higher performing and more sustainable than before with no added formaldehyde, new moisture resistance and high recycled content certifications. Panel installation is normally done by gluing and screwing or cross stapling to a subfloor.
Our new Thermalboard EPS™ is the same high quality board but available with many thicknesses of durable, high-quality EPS foam. It is normally attached to subfloor with adhesive and in some cases additionally anchored to the concrete.

The substrate is constructed from 92% pre-consumer recycled content and meets LEED® v4 Criteria, with zero formaldehyde and no VOCs. Additionally, Thermalboard is laminated with aluminum which does not permit the large formaldehyde molecules to pass, even if formaldehyde were present.
